Master Stock Markets course June 2009

Master Stock Markets June 09 class photo - 1
We booked a bigger classroom, and yet all the seats were taken up.
We have to reject some of the students (new and re-sit students) who wanted to attend, as they only decided last minute, and we can't upgrade the room size at that point of time.
Master Stock Markets June 09 class photo - 4
To my surprise, the response for this classroom was just overwhelming.
Master Stock Markets June 09 class photo - 6
Maybe, we should get an even bigger classroom for the next course.
Master Stock Markets June 09 class photo - 9
Class photo.

Some of the feedbacks from the students:-
"- Great and unique course. Not just a theory course, but Robin shared lots of his experiences and "street-smart" methods in trading. Truly a "Smartrade" course.
- Can sense Robin's passion in teaching and his sincerity in helping his students to trade well.
- Expensive as compared to other courses, but you get what you pay for (value).

Improvements:
- More time (never enough).

Looking forward to more follow-up seminars, classes, emails, forum, etc.

Regards,
Peter Ho"

"I found the course to be very detailed and in-depth. I have attended other Investment courses but in contrast, Robin Ho really and very generously shares all his experience and knowledge gained over the years. He doesn't hold back. He has so much to share that this is actually the second time I was attending his course. Needless to say my understanding of the Stock Market is now much better and I am starting to make consistent trading profits instead of losses.

I must also mention the excellent pre-class catering that was arranged each day. The food was great!

- Vernon Khoo, Pilot"

".....Only course that teaches intraday trading, more precise in entry and exit, low risk, faster response to exit and cut loss, a lot of information taught which is not found in books......

- Joey Chin Li Yu"

"...Course was informative and repetitive of key points that Robin stressed with plenty of examples and cases....

- Richard Tan Kok Yong"

"Firstly I would like to thank Robin for his kindness in sharing his trade, as this is a good way for us to learn and seeing the proven smartrade result fast. I would say the way he reads volume is something new to me compare to other course. I am glad to say that it gives me more confidence in my short recently using the volume as a resistance together with the trend. It works very well and definitely builds up my trading confidence after the courses too.

I would say Robin's course is easy to apply and the best part is that it can be apply to the market directly after the first day class. $4K is definitely expensive however, with the trading knowledge taught by Robin, is definitely worth it. The biggest change after the course is that now I am learning to sit on profit and ride with the trend and because of this, I have finally made back the course fee last friday! I'm also looking forward to the next futures course, it should be great too!

- Ke Shu Fen"

"1. Simple and concise course. Wonderful.

2. A live trading demonstration created a bigger impression on the techniques involved.

3. All the usual caveats were communicated to all. Which is especially important. Since quite a number are new traders? Losing money is all part of trading. It takes a lot of homework and discipline too.

4. "Being a chameleon" is definitely one of the most important lesson learnt. To adapt and change to the current market condition.

5. The conviction buy call on "Wilmar" was a missed opportunity. Could have recouped back the trading course fee easily. :)

6. At the end of the day, it has been rewarding. :)

Kind regards,
Mingyao"

"initially, I was a bit apprehensive about the value of attending this,
as the syllabus looks 90% same as the Futures course,
except for a few additional Stocks-specific topics.

in hindsight, it is really well worth my time & money, to attend !!!

in the Futures course,
the Live Trading is a very different learning experience (from lecture/sharing).
BUT it took up quite a bit of time, & the lecture/sharing part feels "Rushed".

esp, now that i have the benefit of comparing to the Stocks course,
the 90% similar topics seem to be covered more in-depth here.

moreover,
whatever I thot I already understood from the Futures course,
some of it were Wrong / Weak understanding,
that definitely benefited greatly when learning from the master all over again.

indeed,
the best way to describe it is "Easy to Learn BUT Hard to Master".
Robin really has a way of simplifying things,
such that it seem easy to understand (even to beginner).
BUT the real difficult part is,
after end of course, when we try to apply it under varying market conditions.

anyway,
I really have to agree with some of the more senior students
that there's still much to learn, even if attending again or a 5th time.

as for the 10% Stocks-specific topics,
it's really enlightening to learn about the "real" drivers behind the run-ups.
in essence,
while We (Mantis) try to makan from the Herd (Small Insect),
must also wary being eaten from behind by Big-Fish (Yellow Bird).

and the Unexpected BONUS ... 8)
- VISIT to Robin's Trading Room !!!
- Learn from his Daily Trading Routine

- Eddy Ong"

"I think this course has really teaches me how to plot chart using trendline and also how to time my entry and exit which I don’t even know before going for this course. I really encourage those who wants to attend any trading course to go for this, sure no regrets!”

Regards
Steven Phua"

Magnify your trading power with margin trading

Robin will be giving a talk for City Index on 4th June 2009.

If you are interested, please register here.
Just a note that seats are limited.
When they are all taken up, we will close the registration.

Is your lack of holding power stopping you from trading the short-term volatility of the equity markets?

You can now increase your trading capacity using Contracts for Difference (CFD) trades.

CFDs are traded on margin, which allows you to trade an underlying asset by paying for only a fraction of the full value of the asset.

Trading on margin

High leverage
At City Index, our initial margin requirement is as low as 10% for stock CFDs. The high leverage means that you as a trader will gain much greater exposure to the equities that you are trading on. At the same time, you will be freeing up your available capital for other investment targets.

Hedging instrument
You can also use CFDs to hedge against price declines in your long-term investment portfolio. CFDs help to offset the paper losses of your existing portfolio assets with the profits that you make when you short the portfolio assets in a falling market.

Volatile markets
With CFDs, you can trade on either rising or falling markets. This allows you to make profits by taking a short position when a market is falling. Conversely, you could make losses if you take a short position in a rising market.

Sign up a for free seminar:
Title: "Unleash your trading edge with price action and volume analysis"

Date: 4 June 2009

Time: 7-9.30pm

Venue: SGX Auditorium, SGX Centre 1, Level 2, 2 Shenton Way

Sign up here for a free seminar by trader and stockbroker Robin Ho as he shares on how one can harness the City Index CFD trading platform and the different trading techniques and styles.

There will also be a 'live' demonstration of how a trade is placed so that you can immediately apply what you have learned to your next trading decisions.

Trading CFD and FX on margin carries a high level of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. Consider your investment objectives, level of experience and risk appetite carefully. The possibility exists that you could lose some or all of your investments. If in doubt, please seek independent advice.

Master Futures Trading course - May 2009

Master Futures Trading May 2009
We changed the venue to SMU for this Master Futures Trading course, as this place allowed Robin to demonstrate live trading of FTSE and Dow Future indices till around 11pm.
Master Futures Trading May 2009
Fantastic place for educational purpose - stepped up seats, semi-circular layout, with power points for every seats, and dual screens.
Master Futures Trading May 2009
Robin used one screen for course notes, and the other for for live charting, with roadmaps and trendlines drawn, and strategy discussed. While teaching the students the theory part, he illustrated with real-time trade execution - where to enter a position, where to cut loss, when to take profit, and when to exit and close positions. In this way, the students can see how his techiques and strategies put into practice straightaway.
Master Futures Trading May 2009
This course also helped the Master Stock Markets students to further enhance the stuff they have learned. Robin illustrated to them how to hedge his opened positions in stocks with Futures indices, while the Singapore market is closed; how to take advantage of the rise in Dow, to lock in profits on stocks, even before the Asian markets open.
What's more? He illustrated how to enter a position, go to sleep, and wake up next day to take profit. His hit rate is 9 out of 10. Wow!!! Make money while you sleep?! The students withnessed that on the second day of the class.

One of the feedbacks from the students:-
"When I heard from Jim Roger over the Bloomberg, "Long commodities, I long now, if it comes down, I buy some more". It seems no proper timing given. It only apply to the rich and timing is irrelevant to him. Average people can't just take a position with out right timing due to our limited resources - "hard earned money".

Just leak out one of the night live trading by Robin.
"At 9.30pm, market opened and Dow was testing 8500 again. It was 3rd time for the month. Dow already up about 150 points. It was a bullish night as during the day, STI and HangSeng were up about 3%. Robin was teaching about the Dow and Nikkie future and watching the Dow opening at the sametime. While everyone was cheering for the bullishness of the Dow, suddenly Robin looked at the Dow from his different time frames charts and asked his assistance shorted Dow future with his live account infront of us around 10.30 pm when Dow was retracing abit. He explained in details why he was shorting and at the same time he also explained why he would be shorting Nikkie future that night. Robin also put a limit order to close his positions based on his trendline method. The next day, dow plunged and he was shorted near day-high and closed at near day-low. He also profited from Nikkie next day gap down as well.

I have attended several live session future courses from others, I would recommend this course without hesitation to anyone whom want to know future with live trading including the "Explanation".

Regards,

"Hi Jit & Robin,
Thanks for the opportunity to re-attend this course and i again enjoy throughtout the 3-sessions.

There's still so much more things to learn from you. Your range trading method using Dow to trade Nikkei is great. Never thought we could use Dow's direction to trade Nikkei. The road-map that you taught using trendline & volume on Dow Jones, Nikkei, Hang Seng and FTSE are clear and easy to understand. As you have mentioned, the psychological and the trade execution part maybe difficult master and required more practise to build-up confidence. I believe that through more practises and using 2-contracts method that you have taught, i'm a step closer to fullfill my dream to be a full-time trader.

By the way, i have made back the cost fee during the class live trade. If Robin going conduct another Master Futures course, i will definitely sign-up again.

Cheers,
Sim"

STI - Time to take a break!

STI 13 May 09
My aunty has taken notice of the market rally and had asked me what stocks to buy. Clients who have been dormant for a long time have joined in the party. The online trading system in some broking houses were overwhelmed with the heavy trading volume. Broker's trading limits are busted. Most significantly, stock indices hit my target. From my experience these are sure signs that the market will experience a sharp dive soon. The market simply cannot sustain such frentic volume. The mass don't win and herd instinct trading always end up in heavy losses. It's time to trim position, take profit and sit back to wait for market to retrace before taking fresh position. That's what I did today. Remember bull make money, bear make money, only pigs get slaughtered. Happy Trading!

China Mobile Investment in Taiwan's Telecom Company - More Upside For Taiwan Stock Index

On 30 Apr, China Mobile has bought 12 per cent of FarEasTone Telecommunications for US$530 million. Only two days ago, for the first time since 1949, Taiwan and China signed a landmark agreement to promote mainland Chinese investment on the island. The news sparked a 6 pct rally on Taiwan's stock index. FarEasTone Telecommunications earnings are falling and for China Mobile to pay a 14 pct premium over the trading price, signify that they are interested in changing the perception of the taiwan people towards China and forging a long term relationship. This news will continue to spark speculation of more Chinese funds pouring into Taiwan, the Taiex will continue to be driven up. Taiex close at 222, technically, it should hit 242 in the next 1-2 trading days. I believe Taiwan will outperform the regional stock market . Just remember how the Hang Seng Index shot thru' the roof on talks of QDII funds buying into Hong Kong companies.

Master Stock Markets Apr 09 course

Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course photo 2
The response for this course was overwhelming again.
The seats were all taken up, and we have to add in extra seats for the students.
Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course photo 6
For the first time, I don't have a table for myself.
Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course photo 4
As usual, the students comprised of those serious full-time and part-time traders like professional traders, dealers, remisiers etc, who wanted to learn the correct way of (very short term trading especially) trading, which no indicators on the textbook can tell you.
Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course photo 1
On top of these, we have a few students from NUS, and a businessman who flew all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As soon as he landed, he came straight to the class.
Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course photo 7
Master Stock Markets Apr 09 Course class photo 2
A snapshot of this Apr 09 class.
I have asked the students to spread out, so that their faces can be seen.
However, some of them are camera-shy, and preferred to hide behind. :)))

Feedback from some of the students:-
"I read Economics/Finance with summa cum laude, yet never know that demand and supply lines could be seen like Robin. Albeit we read "Price Theory" by David Friedman in school and we know that economist never the prophet for the future of markets. But never know that the future of markets could be decoded by combining demand and supply trendlines with "VOLUME" as Robin did. It was even intriguing to hear what Robin had to say about psychology of the market in the day when we were having the class at night. His holistic view about the markets is practical and from the perspective of a trader. I would recommend this course to anyone whom keen to know the "working" of the market.

Regards,

Jeffrey Tan, (Msc, Bsc - summa cum laude )

"I found the 4 nights very beneficial and indeed it was an eye opener for me.
I have read a few books on Technical Analysiis but these all relied heavily on various indicators.
Robin's methods are very quick and easier to understand.
However, I am not very experienced in stocks and have almost No experience in Short Term Trading; ie., have always been a Long Term buy and hold type of Investor. I am now changing my mindset.

I still have reservations about actually going into actual trading with real Money. ie., the Theory is very clear now but the practice, well I have some uncertainty still. I know for a fact that losing money is Much easier than making it!!! I suppose i will have to try it out before I will know.

Anyway...tell Robin the Course was Great. I did not have a Chance to tell the lovely ladies preparing the makan every night that they did a wonderful job. I really appreciated the great food(and chilli!!) every night.
Tell them a Big Thank You from me. I think I am 2 kilos heavier now than 2 weeks ago!!!

Vernon Khoo"

"Thanks for the teachings and concern...
I'm totally new to trading, so sort of understood but didn't...like seeing through a mist. Think i need to fix up my battered laptop, get the software, open necessary accounts..before i can try my first trade with Robin's help.

But i guess for myself personally, the best part was the sharing of Daniel's vision and the various kingdoms it represented. Wow, didn't know Alexandra "the Great" was killed by a mozzie! Well, man proposes and GOD disposes.

I admire and Praise GOD for Robin's courage in sharing his testimonies etc. It balances things out...money and greed isn't everything (as most other courses i think, would emphasise)... we need to look from an "investment" horizon of eternity!

Muchas gracias! Thank you very much!

Blessings,
gerald / jerry"

Chartered - A case of demand and Supply

Chartered Semiconductor 1 April 09
Chartered - A Case of Demand and Supply

I believe the present free float of Chartered script have been temporary immobile by those seeking to arbitrate between the discount in the rights when it closed at 0.135 yesterday and those who sold the mother shares and bought the rights because of the discount. The massive number of Chartered shares will flood the market on about 15/16 April when the rights have been converted to new shares. Between now and 15 April it will be easy for the smart money to push the shares up. Chartered is technically strong and the upside is intact.

Dow Jones - Bear Rally likely to continue

Dow 26th March 09
The 22% rally on the DOW since March 9th was the fastest two-week advance since 1938. The DOW have fallen 54.5% from it's Oct 07 high. History tells us that in every major Bear market there will be also major Bear rallies. The 1973-1974 cyclical bear market (dropped 47%), had two rallies of approximately 10%. The 2000-2002 bear had three big rallies (19%, 21.4%, and 20.7%). The current bear has had four double-digit rallies (13.1%, 17.7% and 18.3% and the recent 22%).
At the start of the bear market that led to the Great Depression, the Dow tumbled 89% between 1929-1932 and had a total of five 20%-plus rallies over the course if its 34-month decline . The first was a massive 48% rally. The last rally of 24.6% was followed by a final decline of 53.6%.
Since 1900there were 23 bear markets, the average bear market rally is a gain of 15% lasting an average of 50 days
If toxic asset clean up plan and the stimulus package that Timothy Geitner's proposal works and banks start to lend actively again, we may be able to tell ourselves ‘the worst is over and the `Great Recession' will not materialised, we can all start to invest rationally again. Whether this proves to be right (again) , we probably will not know till a few weeks/months later. The next quarter corporate reportings will really put the recent optimism to an acid test. If the market crumbles again under the disappointing corporate reportings, market cynicism will creep back…..and yes, then this will prove to be just another bear market rally. The average bear market rally is a gain of 15% and the major bear market rally average 25%. The average bear market rally would give the Dow a 7,500 upside. However, if we take the average of the major bear market rallies of over 25% we can project an upside target of 8,250 .

Market Outlook

The Shanghai Composite Index rocketed 6.12% after the government said it would expand its fiscal spending plan. The Shanghai bull spilled over to Hang Seng , STI and the regional markets. The rebound was fueled by hopes that President Wen Jiabao would make a major announcement on fresh stimulus steps in an address to parliament on Thursday. Watch Wen's speech tomorrow, the market is likely to sell into news the minute he finished delivering his speech. STI and Hang Seng are likely to resume it's downtrend. I'm expecting the Dow to reach between the 6100 to 6,300 region before we can have a meaning rebound.

Update: Right after President Wen Jia Bao finished his speech, Hang Seng and STI tumbled down! at 9:55am today!!!

Master Futures Trading course - Feb 2009

Robin Ho Smartrade Master Futures Trading Feb 09 -2
Though this is Robin's first Futures Trading course, but the sign-up rate is very high.
The students are all serious traders who want to learn more from Robin's proprietary trading strategy. Amongst them, we have the students who have attended the Master Stock Markets course, professional traders and remisierswho have been trading Futures and index warrants, and traders who have been trading in the equity markets, and want to move into Futures markets.
Robin Ho Smartrade Master Futures Trading Feb 09 -9
The initial plan for this course is 3 days x 4 hours (each day).
However, Robin wants to share more about his experience on the Hang Seng Futures Index, with the students.
Every class, he analysed how Dow Jones close will affect the Hang Seng. He showed the students how he setup his road map and trading strategy for Hang Seng for that day, before the market starts.
Robin Ho Smartrade Master Futures Trading Feb 09 -4
These valuable experience can't be found in books, and he thinks it is important for the students to know how to read the markets and approach them.Robin Ho Smartrade Master Futures Trading Feb 09 -12
On top of that, there are live trading on Dow Jones Futures index on the first 2 days of class.
Robin Ho Smartrade Master Futures Trading Feb 09 -13
Thus, instead of rushing through to finish the notes, Robin decided to add in 1 more day as bonus, to cover everything in details. The last day (25th Feb 2009) was especially bebefcial to the students, as Dow went up the previous day, and Hang Seng gapped up.
Robin shared about the common mistakes that traders will make, risk management etc.

Some feedback from the students:-
"Hi Robin,
This 3-evening + 1-bonus class are truly excellent and I am truly believe that the methods that you have impart to us can really work. Applying the methods taught in my trading has been yielding more wins than loses. These loses are small and the wins are bigger compare to my previous method. I believe that the methodology can and will help me to achieve my dream to trading full-time soon and profitability.

Great work and coordination by Jit & staffs.

Wishing you guys at Smartrade success in your trading and keep up the good work.

Cheers!
Ryan Sim"

"I find most valuable & impactful of all, is Robin's sincere passion in coaching us, so that (at a very fundamental level) we learn to see the market like he does, so that one day we can become a successful pro-trader (like him), which is his very wish for us.

Complimenting the above, Robin teaches us useful practical techniques (that he himself is using profitably everyday), richly illustrated with his recent trades & even live trading !!

I'm deeply blessed by his coaching ... A zillion Thanks to Robin ...

Eddy Ong"

"Certainly is a great course, Robin is a genius. I just try to learn as much as I can but not easy to master.

Appreciate if any team to get into practical trading using Robin's system and update.

Thanks

Best Regards

Jerry Tan"

"First time for me to attend future course.
Seeing trader to trade live during the course should be the norm for ALL trading courses and we have that at Robin's course. ( hope that stock course Im attending would be the same).

After listen to Robin's "Open Bar" method. As I do not have future account yet , I tried it last night with citigroup , BOA together with DOW and 3 mins charts.
I was long and short around the Open Bar ( support and resis lines) for the 1st 3 hours.
It was profitable. I will test it for the next few days then..

Regards,
Jeffrey Tan"

"I enjoyed the Master Futures Trading course very much, especially the live trading sessions. By putting his own money at stake, Robin set an excellent example on how to be in control of our psychology, money management and trading methodology in the midst of a fast moving market. Indeed, these live trading sessions are extremely valuable to my learning.

Sean Tan"

"I learned a lot in the Master Futures Trading course, especially during the live trading sessions. It is fascinating to see how Robin was in full control in spite of the uncertainties of the fast moving futures market.

Hang Seng Futures - hourly chart

Hang Seng hourly chart 2nd March 09
This is the Hang Seng Futures Index hourly chart was drawn by Robin.
He asked me to post it up for the students of Master Futures Trading course, to illustrate why Hang Seng will rebound today.
Techincally, Hang Seng first hour bar low has hit the hourly downtrend support.
That was the low or bottom for today, i.e. it has more room on the upside than the downside.

Market Outlook - Dow

Dow 09 Feb 09
In the coming days, the details of the stimulus package and the plan to address the housing crisis will be unveiled. If the arrival of the much anticipated rescue package fails to hold up this rally, the market could be in for a catastrophic fall, breaking even the November 2008 low.

The market has held up for the last 4 months with the hope that the Obama administration can work some miracle cure. The market is likely to be disappointed again, breaking down from this 4 months consolidation band could trigger massive selling.

Next week, the Auto companies are due to make their progress report to the congress. Expect more negative news, if one of the Auto company belly up, the market could spiral down .

I know there are some bullish people out there, especially those who have profited from the recent Shanghai and Commodity rebound, but I have started to do some medium term shorting.

Remember, the Bulls make money, Bears make money, only Pigs get slaughtered. Follow the trend until it bends.

Robin's Hang Seng Index Futures trade on 30 Jan 09

Master Futures Trading course notes
I was preparing the course notes for Robin's Master Futures Trading this coming Thurs, and I saw these 2 pages. I think showing you his trade record is not good enough. How he did it is more important. And it happened that he has inserted a chart for his day trade of Hang Seng on 30 Jan 09.
Robin P&L 30 Jan 09
Robin's trading 5 min Hang Seng on 30 Jan 09
See where he longed and shorted within the same day, and made HK$31,450 by just trading the 5 min Hang Seng chart.
Browsing through the course notes, I am really excited and looking forward to the course, as he has many new charts and notes which I have not seen before.

Market Outlook

Obama's administration said the rollout date of a new financial rescue package is being pushed back an extra week. It is now expected to be unveiled the second week of February. The delay will put some selling pressures on the stock market next week but do not expect any major market crash until the details of the stimulus package is announced and approved by the congress. The biggest focus next week will be the US January employment report, due Friday, with companies expected to have cut at least half a million jobs during the month. Expect Dow and the STI to trade weaker but range bound. STI should find some support on Monday at 1705.

We have book a room of 65 seats (max) for the course preview tomorrow. However, we have more than 100 people registered for it. The response was overwhelming (out of our expectation too). Those who have attended the course preview previously, and those students who have signed up for the course, need not attend. We sincerely thank you for your support.

For those who have registered and attending the seminars, please take note that the seats are based on first come first served basis. We are trying to squeeze in more chairs for you.
However, due to the size limitation of the room, late comers may have to stand.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We will definitely get a bigger venue in the coming course previews.
Once again, thank you for your support.

GOLD - BULL ON THE LOSE

Gold short term target
A month ago, I posted on this blog that I'm most bullish on Gold amongst all asset classes and Gold is my only long term investment. I believe that momemtum for a supercharge on Gold to $1000 has begun. Gold is firmly on the uptrend. It will break US$915 in the next couple of days and head for US$960. It will consolidate there and make a charge towards US$1000. With every Government in the world printing currency to save their economy, paper currency will lose its value and Gold is the only alternative.

Update:-
08:55 05Feb09 RTRS-Goldman Sachs lifts gold price forecast to $1,000/oz
SINGAPORE, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Investment bank Goldman Sachs
raised its forecast for the price of gold to reach
$1,000 an ounce in the next three months from its previous
forecast of $700 due to rising investor demand for safe haven
assets.
"The gold price rally has been driven by surging demand for
gold in all forms: physical gold, exchange-traded funds (ETFs),
and futures contracts as investors seek 'a safe store of value'
amid the financial distress and inflation risks," it said in a
report.
It also noted that a strong relationship betwween the price
of gold in U.S. dollars and the exchange rate of the dollar
agsinst other currencies has begun to break down. Gold was
trading at $903.15 an ounce by 0038 GMT, down $1.70 from New
York's notional close.

Attendng the seminar by Robin has been truly beneficial as he gave us a concise outlook on how to approach 2009 ahead. His teachings are sincere and comes from a person who has paid his dues to achieve where he is right now.
An inspiration figure for all who just want to do trading!!!

"Venue:
Good location, well equipped auditorium and comfortable seats (for 4 hours ha ha).

Refreshment is good with simple finger food.

Speakers: Well done Robin. Very personal and conversational in presentation. Speak with humility. Has researched well for historical data and background (with the help of Jit and Mabelle for sure). Did not hard sell the "Future Trading Course" which is a good thing as the seminar is on Outlook for 2009. Look forward to next year seminar and to check your blog and forum daily.

Conclusion: I enjoyed the seminar and went away satisfied. Sorry that I could not come up to thank you Robin, Jit and Mabelle as you were all mobbed with questions, advice etc. May I take this email to say thank you to all of you. Well done

Regards and God bless
Chua Kok Swee

Thanks for organising such an interesting seminar.
The in-depth sharing of the world situation, incl currencies, commodities, equities, etc was really useful.
Robin was selfless and shared his 'secrets' to trading unconditionally. Only a grateful man brought back from the brink of death could have delivered a seminar so sincerely & emotionally charged.
The added bits of videoclips from titanic & jack neo movie were refreshing and reminded us of the cruel realities of life. Though l'm a free thinker, l appreciate Robin's efforts to evangelise using the John 3:16 verse which touched his life. l'm sure God & His Church would be proud of his actions.
Also like to thk Jit for the interesting drawings and Mabelle for your support on my admin queries & trade orders.
Overall, a well spent Sat afternoon!
thks!

Jeremy Ng

Very informative outlook that is worth every dollar, though I do hope actually that Robin have more time to cover more on volume trading analysis.

Overall, a very good job well done.

Many sincere thanks to Robin, You and Mabelle!

Happy Chinese New Year and, yes thanks for the calendar too!

Regards,
Jet Lee

Robin’s talk yesterday was very insightful and inspiring.

Zen Chua

I enjoyed the seminar which gave good insights and appropriate "health" warnings.

Thanks
Sok Cheng

The Market Outlook 2009 by Robin was very insightful and to be able to hear it first hand from a very experienced and successful trader cast it in a more meaningful but albeit gloomy perspective. It certainly helped me to form a more concrete and precise opinion of the markets which I certainly know will help me to be more decisive and will go a long way in shaping my trader's journey in the long run.

The whole team, too, I am sure, were very instrumental in putting the whole event together and certainly did a good job. Thanks to everyone.

Cheers,
Lily Oon

It's a great seminar which give us a direction at the beginning fo the year.
Hope that it will be hold every year.

The session was good, very informative and worth the time and fees paid.

Dow + Obama's Inauguration

Dow 20 Jan 2009
DOW is on a downward spiral but this time the downtrend may be interrupted by the many initiatives President Obama may announce to shore up the economy. If you read in between the lines of Obama's inauguration speech, and i quote "The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act". It's telling us that some bold measures will be announced very soon. Though the DOW may be on heading towards 7000 level, I'm adopting a cautious and selective shorting strategy, i.e. shorting into strength and shorting the weaker stocks. I believe Obama will spare no time to announce a series of potent measure to save the economy and save the stock market very soon and I believe it's within this 2 weeks. The market will react positively to the first few measures announced. When the market has fully priced in the new rescue package, i Iwill be "full steam ahead" on the shorting throttle for me. The state of the world economy is deteriorating and an alarming rate, the risk is clearly on the downside. The recent strength in Gold prices is telling you of the dark clouds ahead. Bottom fishing at this stage is like walking on a minefield. Shorting into every rally remained the prudent and sound strategy.
